What is Hardware?

In general, computer hardware is any physical part of the computer or accessory.

EG - a PC monitor is hardware, but any computer programme you are running, is software.

Examples :-
  1. Printer
  2. Screen / monitor
  3. (computer) Mouse
  4. Disk / CD / DVD




What is Software?

In General, software is a program that can be installed onto the computer via a CD/DVD/Floppy disk.

Examples :-
  1. Games
  2. Windows / Linux operating systems
  3. Photoshop
  4. Microsoft WORD
  5. Visus scanner / De-bugger
- whether or not they requires a specific licence.

Some games for example, do not have a licence or an installation key, but if it is the original media (not a copy of the original) then it is ok to be given to another person.
