Why take the risk?

Would you give your telephone number to almost two thousand strangers? That's exactly what some of you are doing!

Please DO NOT post personal details on the list, you are opening yourself up to identity theft, nuisance phone calls, stalking etc.... And before you say "These things don't happen" THEY DO and they're on the increase!

By all means, when you are arranging collection of an item via private email give your number/address to the other party, but not on the main group postings.

We will continue to edit any postings from moderated members that contain personal details but please, make life easier for yourselves and us, don't do it anywhere online it's just not safe.

I don't send this to worry you or to be a nuisance, I had a stalker who made my life hell because I wasn't careful online way back then. I had to move house and change my name before I felt safe and I wouldn't like any of you to go through the hell I went through. Please - make your own personal safety your first thought :)
