Message delivery options

Hi All.

New member`s email delivery setting to receive message emails is set to "Digest" when a member first joins the group.

This is because a lot of new members give up using the group because of the large number of emails that can be sent in a day. Also lot of members do not use their PCs every day and the number of emails just keeps building up and up and can be very overwhelming

If you would like to change your email delivery then please log-in to My Freecycle and click on My Groups.

On the My Groups page is where your Freecycle groups that you have membership with.

Each group (If you have membership to more the one group) is set out in its own large box.

There is a section called "Email preference" Where is a drop down menu with 3 options on it.

1) No emails apart from ADMINs 2) An email for each post made 3) A digest of 25 Posts

Click on the delivery setting you would like to have. Then click on the green bar which has "Change delivery option"

Your Email delivery will now be set on the choice you made.

Please allow a few hours if you have changed your email delivery from "An email for each post" to one of the other 2 options, as some emails could be delayed and have not been delivered at the time your email delivery was changed. These email will still be delivered to your inbox.

Please make sure if you do email the moderators that the email address has @mods.freecycle... and NOT @groups.freecycle.... or your email could be posted to the message boards and members who receive messages via email.
