Reminder: TAKEN / RECEIVED

This is a general notice to all My Freecycle Phoenix Members

This is a reminder that if you made an offer that was picked up or asked for something that you did receive that you go out to your My Posts page on My Freecycle and mark the post and taken or received.

This action does several things. 1. It saves you from receiving emails that you no longer want. 2. It saves other's time - as the offers and wants list at the site will only contain active items. They won't have to dig through as many posts and won't waste their time emailing about something that is long taken or received. 3. It save space as the items are removed an no longer taking up server space.

Here are the instructions from the How to Use My Freecycle email:

>>>HOW TO LET PEOPLE KNOW YOUR ITEM HAS BEEN TAKEN, OR YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE ITEM YOU WANTED: Log into my.freecycle.org and click on the "My Posts" tab. Click on either "Mark as TAKEN" or "Mark as RECEIVED" to send a message to the group that you are no longer looking for the item. By clicking on either of these, your original message will "automatically" be removed. If you have posted an item by mistake, you can delete it by clicking on "Remove post from My Freecycle." Please do not remove the post until the item has actually been picked up to avoid having to re-post.
