NO PHONE NUMBERS OR ADDRESSES IN POSTS

A reminder to all Oakland Freecycle™ members - phone numbers, and addresses are not permitted in posts. We suggest that you screen all emails you receive, make a determination on who is suitable for your items, and only then, give out your phone number and/or address accordingly.

We are concerned for the safety of our members. Though it can be more convenient to list your personal information for everyone to see, it is not in the best interest of our community members as a whole. We feel that taking the risk and passing out that information to strangers is not worth the risk.

We thank you for your cooperation and understanding on this very important issue. Screening pending posts for phone numbers and addresses takes moderator time and delays posts.
