Nassau Freecycle WANTED policy

To control the number of WANTED listings we've been receiving lately, I'd like to reiterate the wanted policy of Nassau Freecycle:

You may post no more than one WANTED request per day (but you may combine multiple items in a single post if they are related, such as books).

If your needs are specific, give as much information as you can in the message (such as the size of clothing you need) to avoid wasting people's time, but keep in mind that the more specific your needs, the less likely you are to get them filled

No requests for "luxury" items. This is relative, but use some common sense. Don't expect people to be giving away a properly working iPod Touch, for example

You may not request the same item more than once per month

You may not offer any compensation or trade for the item you are looking for. Borrowing is also not allowed (you may, however, mention that you will re-Freecycle the item once you are done with it)

If you are looking for an item to resell, you must list this information in the post

You should not give any personal information in your post, such as a phone number or address. Your town or general location is all we need. If you're willing to travel, indicate how far

No pleas to our sympathy, please - Freecycle is not a charity

Breaking these rules will cause you to be put on moderation. Continual infractions will be cause for you to be banned from the group.
