Welcome to The Freecycle Network™, Duncan, OK. Freecycle is a concept to reduce landfill and share with other members of the community that may put these items to good use. In the end you have the joy of taking home a new treasure, putting a smile on someone's face, and meeting others in the community. There is a catch. Everything Must Be 100% Free And No Trading or Borrowing.
It makes it easier on everyone if we all follow the same rules, so we ask all members to follow these posting guidelines:
1. Is it a tangible item? If yes, keep going, if no, don't post. (Note: while coupons may be teeny-tiny tangibles, they are not allowed on Duncan Freecycle
2. Is it free? If yes, keep going, if no, don't post. This includes posts for garage sales. (Posting free garage sale left-over’s are permitted ONLY AFTER the sale
3. Is it legal? If yes, keep going, if no, don't post. Absolutely NO firearms, ammunition, weapons of any kind, or drugs (either over the counter or prescriptiion)
4. Is it appropriate for all ages? If yes, keep going, if no, don't post.
5. Use OFFER in the subject line if you are giving away an item that meets the above criteria. Use WANTED if the item you want meets the above criteria.
6. As a courtesy, post TAKEN or RECEIVED so that others know the transaction is complete.
7. For your safety, we do not allow posts which include personal information such as address or phone #'s.
That's IT! Pure and simple. Please make the moderators' job easier by following the rules.
Also, by default, all new members are on moderation when they initially join. After your first or 2nd post is correctly posted, you will be taken off of the moderation list so that your posts go directly to the group. You decide!
