Your out-of-office message

This message is being sent to the entire Freecycle group, not just you. Please do not email me to tell me that this does not apply to you. ***

Hi.

If you have your Freecycle emails sent to your work email address and you go on vacation, then please make the moderators' days a little brighter by following the steps below.

Normally, you would turn on your out-of-office assistant that says "so-and-so is out of the office and will return on whatever date" so that people know to contact someone else in your office. However, when you have an automatic response set up like that and you have this email set up to receive your Freecycle posts, it sends an automatic message to the moderator address every time someone sends an email to the group. Multiply that by the number of messages sent to this group, and then multiply it again by the number of people on vacation at any one point. That makes the moderators a wee bit annoyed. :)

So, to make your moderators have a much happier day, please log in to your Freecycle account and in the upper right click on "My Freecycle" and then choose "My Groups". Next to the Burlington group, choose "No emails" and then click on "Change Delivery Option". Once you get back from your vacation, you can change it back to your preferred frequency.

If you are using your personal email, or if you don't have an auto response on your work email, then you're all set.
