London – Not as expensive as you thought : Moneyweb

Living in the UK- especially London – is expensive compared to many places in the world.

It was ranked 5th among 144 cities in the Mercer’s Human Resource Consulting’s Cost of Living Survey. But what does this mean for your savings if you are moving across to the UK?

When furnishing your house, look out for an internet site www.freecycle.com. Here people from all over the local area post adverts for stuff they want to get rid of, such as desks, chairs, old TV’s, all for free. All you have to do is collect it yourself. I know it might sound dodgy but it works.
