Making good use of unwanted items

I belong to a group called Freecycle - you might have heard of it nationally - but there are local chapters all over.

The concept behind Freecycling is basically that of recycling goods by giving them to people who need them, for free. But, rather than trying to pawn off old video games or shoes that never fit or rarely used appliances on your friends and neighbors, this gives you a wider range of people to offer to.
