Freecycling is a hit with borough’s recycling boss

THE HEAD of waste management at the borough council is leading by example after joining the blossoming Freecycle group founded in Wilmslow.

Paul Morgan heads up the Macclesfield Borough Council environment and waste management service and after hearing about the scheme, which promotes recycling to reduce waste and landfill, he signed up straightaway.

The Wilmslow group founder and moderator, Oliver Romain, contacted his local councillor to publicise Freecycle at the council and it had such an impact it is now promoted on the council’s website as a way of reducing household rubbish.
