Elizabeth Schulz of Bridgewater considered forgoing holiday lights this year to further her environmental causes. She already drives a Toyota Prius and heads the Somerset County branch of Freecycle.org, an online community of people exchanging items so they won’t end up in landfills. However, Schulz worried it would be “kind of ‘Grinch-y’ to not have lights up.”
