The Winston-Salem Journal: Group’s goal is to put less in landfills
Anyone want a 52-inch widescreen TV - for free?
When Debbie Hughes of Davidson County saw that ad online, she went after it. Although the TV was broken, she paid for repairs and the set now sits in her home.
“We got a 55-inch widescreen TV that cost us $208 dollars,” Hughes said.
She got the TV through Freecycle.org, a network of groups of people who exchange all sorts of stuff - without exchanging money.
