MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - In a Dec. 29 story about The Freecycle Network, The Associated Press reported erroneously that the international recycling program keeps more than 300 million tons of trash out of landfills every day. According to the group’s founder, the amount kept out of landfills last year is equivalent to 300 million pounds, or 400 tons per day.
