One man’s trash has long been another man’s treasure, but thanks to the Freecycle Network, the adage has never been more true.

This global recycling-gone-gifting network has reached SouthCoast, and three local women are hoping to ease the burden on area landfills by providing an outlet for unwanted treasures.

“I’ve never talked to anyone who didn’t like something for free,” said Mary Rose, founder of the Dartmouth Freecycle group.
