No Brasil, há comunidades no Rio de Janeiro (atualmente com 59 membros), Curitiba (com 33 membros) e São Paulo (195 membros). Impressoras, toca-discos, monitores, um piano, cobertores… e até uma estufa de consultório odontológico já foram trocados aqui por brasileiros. Tudo isso sem usar dinheiro, cheque ou cartão de crédito. O seu bolso agradece e o meio ambiente também.

On a recent expedition to Decarie to collect a bamboo tray I scored from Freecycle, I realized there remain traces of the quarter’s old charm, from the time before it was so brutally divided by the expressway. Among my discoveries was the Pearl of Manila on Decarie proper, between Côte-Ste-Catherine and Van Horne. A Filipino joint like this is a rare find in Montreal…..
