Please note that Freecycle will flag certain keywords in a post. These keywords can cause your post to be flagged for moderation, delaying publication. Some of the most commonly flagged keywords/info in posts are:
1. Free: Every item posted on Freecycle is free without exceptions, so you don't need to include the word Free when offering an item.
2. Telephone numbers: Don't post or discuss telephone numbers in your posts. Protect the privacy of yourself and others, and only exchange information like a telephone or cellphone number in private messaging if you so choose to do.
3. Town: You can include nearby cross streets in your public post if you are comfortable, but you do not have to. Only discuss a location to meet up or a specific address in private messaging. Be safe! It is totally okay to post the item you are offering, and respond in private messaging about the location or how you want to meet up.
