Framinghm Freecycle Curb Alerts Notice

Please DO NOT post "come and get it" items to Framingham Freecycle. These include listing your address as the location with a photo in front of your house of the item, or making it obvious where the item is located.  We understand that you want the items gone ASAP - we really do. If you are that desperate to have them gone, please gift to your closest local charity. Many charities will do local pickups.  Members can also join up to 6 local Freecycle groups in the area.

Please list your items and gift them to ONE person at a time so that the person driving to your house knows that they are not making a trip for nothing. We allow cell phone #s or email addresses in the post so that you can communicate in an easier manner if you do not wish to use the Freecycle Message system.

Members want to know that the item they are picking up is earmarked for them alone. Any posts which are or appear to be curb alerts will be rejected and you will be asked to change the location / remove the street address and remove any text in the body which may point to where the post is. You can simply use North or South Framingham or near a specific school or landmark if you wish to narrow down your location.

The basic mission of Freecycle is to keep items out of landfills. A corollary of that is *environmentalism* which is best served by not having folks driving around wasting fossil fuels unnecessarily for items that will be gone when they get there anyway.

Thank you so much for making Framingham Freecycle the wonderful and caring community that it has become - each of your generosity touches the life of another in some small way - and it's contagious.

We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
