Welcome to the Oakland CA Freecycle Town Group!
The Freecycle Network™ is made up of 5,356 Town Groups with 11,207,675 members across the globe. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns and thus keeping good stuff out of landfills.
Membership is free, and everything posted must be FREE, legal and appropriate for all ages. To view the items being given away or sought in Oakland CA, you must be a member of the local Town Group.
For your own privacy, please do not put your contact information, address, cross streets, etc. Use the Freecycle messaging system to share that information individually.
We do not allow curb alerts, first come, or yard sales. Our members expect to find the items that they agree to pick up. It's better for the planet. There are generic rules that Freecycle has for unallowed items. Please review that list before posting.
